Abstract :
The topic of the interrelationship between technology innovation and standardization is attracting the attention of researchers. This paper has a research on the interrelationship of technology innovation and standardization from quality and quantity aspects. Using patent applications to measure technology innovation and standards increment to measure standardization, it establishes an index between ICS and IPC, and has a static analysis on the interrelationship between patent applications and standards increment of China in 2005. Collects patent applications and standards increment data of China for a period of 1996-2005, establishes VAR model which enables us to assess the dynamic impacts of these two factors, and on the basis of VAR conducts Granger test to analyze the interaction between these two factors.
