Abstract
The design method of combining variable structure system (VSS) with fuzzy theory is presented in this paper, which is applied to the speed control and responses improvement of a spindle motor of CD-ROM drives. The exogenous disturbance of the motor is estimated by means of the adaptive fuzzy logic system. The input voltage of the spindle motor could be adjusted with real disturbances, and the robustness of the system is promoted.
