Abstract
Research on coordination among population(P), resources(R), environment(E) and development(D) (PRED) has comprehensive and extensive contents, which serves as the core of sustainable development. According to the characteristics of urban PRED system, 50 representative cities and 20 indexes from both positive and negative sides are selected to establish an index system, which applies multiple indexes comprehensive evaluation method to evaluate the development step of urban PRED system. Furthermore, 50 cities could be classified into four classes shown the sameness and the difference. The results are also revealed that the development step of Chinapsilas urban PRED system has great difference, so we could give different development strategy for the four classes. The research would provide a theoretical basis for Chinapsilas urbanization strategy.
