Abstract
"Micro-mechanical fabrication" is the process of manufacturing ultra-precision microparts by microgrinding, micromachining, microlapping, micropolishing, and microplastic working. In response to demands for new fabrication technologies, we have established a microfabrication method using a desktop machine mounted with an ELID system, and investigated its potential applications.
