Abstract
With the capacity of wind power connected to the grid growing, the grid voltage stability problem is attracting attention. Aiming at the grid voltage stability, this paper present an active control scheme for reactive power based on the stator-flux-oriented vector control strategy of doubly-fed induction generator. That is when the grid voltage drop or rise, the generator increases or decreases the reactive power output automatically. Using Matlab tools for simulation studies verified that the scheme can greatly alleviates the grid voltage instability problem.
