Abstract :
Projecting of the ATM switch (a device for switching ATM cells from one input to the output whose address is in the overhead address field of the ATM cell) is the key problem in an ATM network´s development. It has an important influence on the effectiveness of the whole ATM network. The first contribution in this paper is a proposal for a new ATM switching fabric. New switching elements are 2 by 2 with internal output buffers. The second contribution in this paper is a presentation of our new model for ATM buffer banyan switching fabric performance researching. The third contribution, and the most important one, is our switch performance level
