Abstract :
The authors discuss the technology of fuzzy expert systems. They introduce a fuzzy reasoning method to determine whether a fire really exists or not. The method is based on time sequential sensed data and various environmental conditions. Fuzzy logic is used to judge and act in an ambiguous situation before the final decision is made. An intelligent fire warning system established experimentally in a building is described
