Abstract

This paper addresses some actual activities of testing and measuring on ATM network. The paper outlines a few important aspects of international standards (i.e. ITU-T, ATM Forum, etc.) in relation to network performance (NP) testing and measuring. Furthermore, it highlights more detailed and practical methodologies of performance testing (which is not described in international standards) in a real field. Finally, measurement results and analysis, according to the proposed methods, are introduced
