Abstract
Two kinds of field emission array, (FEA), have been fabricated. The first, is a traditional low resistance Si FEA, the second a carbon FEA of 2mm thickness. Both systems have a large operational area and will operate with the low voltage phosphor ZnO:Zn used in vacuum fluorescent displays. Details of the process technologies, structure and current status of the work are discussed
