  • Abstract
    The design and development of a compact capacitive type uroflow transducer, based on the equation of continuity, is presented. The transducer was integrated with an expert system which diagnoses urinary tract diseases by using real-time urodynamic parameters obtained from the patient. The principle of operation of the proposed transducer is discussed. The system was developed around an IBM-compatible PC and can be used by a general practitioner. The system has been successfully evaluated
