Abstract :
In this paper, the performance of a multirate decorrelating detector is analyzed and simulated for a MC (multi-carrier) DS/CDMA mobile multimedia system in a frequency selective Rayleigh fading channel. A variable spreading length (VSL) scheme is employed for the MC-DS/CDMA system as a multirate transmission scheme. The simulation results are presented for the varying system parameters such as SNR/bit and multiple data rate. The results of this paper can be applied to mobile communication systems beyond IMT-2000 for support of high-speed mobile multimedia traffic.
