Abstract :
This paper describes a direction finding device that can be adapted to shipboard or mobile vehicles used for ES (electronic warfare support), ELINT (electronic intelligence) and monitoring equipment. It has improved the limited capability factor of the linear array multi interferometer, the latest direction finding instrument. Especially, it has simplified the ambiguity solver which accompanies the interferometer direction finding method, and has developed an advanced ambiguity solver. The direction finding device, made by the suggested method, has 0.7° RMS error in azimuth angle and 0.6° RMS error in elevation angle at 0.5-2.0 GHz.
