The implementation of INAP conformance testing system

The conformance testing of a communication protocol is a very important subject. In the realization of the intelligent network (IN), the INAP (IN Application Protocol) is a core protocol as the application layer protocol. In order to test the IN function entities provided by each vendor for conformance with respect to China´s INAP, it is necessary to process the conformance testing of the protocol implementation. In this paper, four abstract test methods which were identified by the ISO are introduced. On this basis, the paper presents a architecture of the INAP remote test method according to the communication network and the system architecture of China´s INAP. The INAP conformance tester is realized preliminarily, including designing the function structure, the system architecture and the software/hardware of the tester
