Abstract
Application of the two-dimensional Laplace transform (2DLT) and some of its properties with regard to linear time-varying (LTV) system representation are investigated. In particular, the 2DLT characterization leads to a bifrequency representation for LTV systems that exhibit circular symmetry. The equivalence of Hankel and Mellin transforms with 2DLT is shown in an algebraic fashion. For ease of exposition the results are presented for the LTV networks only.
