Abstract
This paper discusses a method of performing shielding effectiveness testing of a multiconductor cable assembly, i.e., a multiconductor cable and its associated connectors, in a mode-stirred chamber (MSC). The approach, a variation of the “nested” chamber technique, uses two conductive test fixtures each of which is connected to an end of the cable under test. The use of this method to perform a shielding effectiveness test on multiconductor cable assemblies is discussed and test data are presented
