Abstract :
A three-phase negative, VAr, and harmonic load current compensator system (NVHC) which uses a three-phase four-quadrant voltage source power converter is presented and analyzed. The NVHC is used to compensate an unbalanced three-phase three-line load system which generates negative VAr, and harmonic current to the source. Design methods for an AC filter and a DC side capacitor are given. The whole system, including load, source, and compensator, is simulated on computer. Predicted results are verified experimentally
