Abstract
An automatic repetitive charging system of 100 kV and 2 A was developed. This paper describes its design and experiments. A three-phase L-C converter with constant-current was used to charging source and IGBTs (insulated gate bipolar transistor) was used to control stopping charge. PLC (programmable logical controller) as the central part in the control unit was adopted. More than one thousand discharges have proved that the design is successful.
