Keynote 2. ODFM-based high-speed narrowband PLC approved for Smart Metering and Smart Grids

Summary form only given: Since several years the industries presented various proposals to address the challenges and expectations of smart grids and smart metering market. As lower the voltage level as more difficult is the closing of the last mile. A reasonable number of small and big sized trials gave evidence regarding expected scope of functionality (availability, data rate), technology (GPRS or PLC) and acceptance (by operator, consumer and regulator). Meanwhile OFDM based narrowband high data rate PLC systems became preferred choice.
