  • Abstract
Potassium titanyl phoshate (KTP) crystal has superior nonlinear properties as well as excellent electro-optic characteristics. In this paper, a single KTP crystal used as both intracavity voltage-increased electro-optic Q-switch and optical parametric generator simultaneously is researched theoretically. The external applied voltage and optimum type-II phase matching angles for KTP crystal is theoretically analyzed, and the relationships between the quarter-wave voltage, output parametric wave length and phase matching angle are numerical simulated. The research of this double function device has vital significance for compact electro-optic (EO) Q switching optical parametric oscillator (OPO).
