Abstract :
In this paper we present the technique of flash evaporation to obtain photovoltaic CuInSe2 and CuIn3Se5 (Cu(Ga,In)(S,Se)2 and Cu(Ga,In)3(S,Se)2) thin films, for fabrication of solar cells. We have realised CuInSe2 and CuIn3Se 5 thin films which are characterised by X-ray diffraction, energy dispersive spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy, and photoconductivity. We have obtained good quality crystalline thin films on surfaces in the order of 50 cm2. The flash evaporation technique can be developed with the aim of producing solar cells used in the conversion of solar energy
