Abstract :
The power and temperature control of Laser Diode (LD) involve the coupling impact, which will affect its use. Based on the analysis of thermoelectric cooling (TEC) devices and LD operating characteristics, the data which describes the influence of TEC input current and LD drive current on temperature was collected respectively. Then the transfer function was established by using of MATLAB iteration tools. On this basis, the system coupling model was built in SIMULINK. By comparing the setting specific values with the actual value, the maximum deviation was less than 0.5°C, and the process was in general accord with the actual. The result shows that the correctness and accuracy of the model was verified. In another way, this model provides the research basis for the further study of LD control, and is meaningful for improving the accuracy of LD temperature and power control.
