Abstract
A key initiative in the deployment of new wireless services is to cost effectively extend and enhance the network´s radio coverage. Implementing a Distributed Antenna System (DAS) is a common method of extending radio coverage for multiple operators from multiple base stations to multiple locations. In this paper, how the Radio over Fiber (RoF) techniques can offer technically and economically attractive features compared with other ways to provide coverage is described.
