According to the simulation of runoff yield and concentration, waste load, hydraulics and water quality, a distributed Water Environment Model was set up. According to examination and simulation, water quality parameters are determined. The model was validated by prototype water diversion experiments conducted in Changshu city and the possibility of water diversion from Taihu Lake to improve water environment in South Jiangsu in Taihu Lake Basin was analyzed particularly.
