Abstract :
Getting to know Sarada Jayakrishnan, chair of the Kerala Section Women in Engineering (WIE) affinity group, was a chance to find out more about the region in which she grew up and why she decided to stay local and make a difference in her community. From the southernmost state of India, Jayakrishnan says she was lucky to grow up in Trivandrum, the capital of Kerala state. She completed her primary education there and went on to attend the College of Engineering in Trivandrum, graduating in 1991 with an electrical and electronics engineering degree.
