Abstract
This paper designs a Remote Image monitoring System based on DM9000A. It adopts the technology of SOPC hardware and software co-design with advantages of both high-speed parallel computing capacity of hardware circuit and flexible control of software. This system designs an IP-core for network card controller and image acquisition controller, it also uses Nios II software core to control the exposure time and the switch of image acquisition controller, uses UDP protocol to transmit image data, builds a hardware platform using SOPC technology, and combines Nios II CPU, image acquisition, storage, compression and other hardware circuits into a FPGA chip, so the whole capability and integration level is improved, components in this system could be added or reduced freely by users.
