Abstract
Frequency modulated continuous wave synthetic aperture radar (FMCW SAR) is a newly proposed imaging radar system, which combining FMCW technique with synthetic aperture imaging methods has advantages such as small cubage, lightweight cost-effective, and high-resolution. Wavenumber domain algorithm (WDA) can accomplish accurate focusing without geometric distortion in the whole area. In this paper, a signal model is proposed to address the effects of the continuous motion during the transmit time on the echoed signal in the squint condition. Based on the model, an analytical point target reference spectrum is derived. Finally, Ka-band simulated experiment is used to validate the signal model and the processing method.
