  • Abstract
This is a concept of using a PWM signal generated from a microprocessor to the error amplifier input of a switch mode commercial video power supply. Upon interruption, the PWM signal gets connected into the error amplifier via a transistor, the primary power transistor (the MOSFET) is operated in a “burst mode”. Burst mode condition reduces the transistor stress and provides a soft picture collapse during TV switch-off
