Abstract
Two variants of a drive system, consisting of a cascaded voltage source inverter without PWM and an induction motor, characterized by novel methods of summing output voltages of the inverter, are presented. It is proved that in such systems, the voltage source inverter is compatible with both the utility grid and the motor. The proposed systems are compared to earlier solutions of analogous systems. Results of the simulation tests arc presented.
