Abstract
A simulation has been performed to investigate the influence of study size and activation focus characteristics in SPECT neuroactivation studies on the detection of the foci in the brain following statistical analysis. The cornerstones of the authors´ study are the Hoffman software brain phantom, sinogram simulation software and the Statistical Parametric Mapping package. They present results on the minimal activation levels required for focus detection
