Abstract
The authors have developed a novel approach to the image reconstruction problem in optical tomography. Unlike currently available schemes, this method does not assume that the solution is a small perturbation to a known reference medium. In the authors´ approach the reconstruction problem is viewed as an optimization problem, which can be solved by gradient-based optimization techniques
