Abstract
To meet the requirements of BESIII experiment, the center tracking detector is a low-mass cylindrical drift chamber with small-cell geometry, using helium-based gas and operating in a 1 T magnetic field. Using the collision data of Psi (2 s) and J/Psi, the spatial resolution is 135 ¿m and the momentum resolution is 0.79% @ 1.846 GeV/c after calibration and alignment. The dE/dx resolution is about 5.1%. These results indicate that the drift chamber system has reached its expected performance.
