Abstract :
A method has been developed for predicting disturbances in TV signal reception in order to reduce interference caused by unwanted emissions from information technology equipment (ITE). The prediction parameters were determined by measuring the disturbance levels from ITE at an open test site, propagation characteristics of unwanted emissions from ITE in a building, the output power of the TV transmitting station, the propagation characteristics of the TV radio wave, and the TV receiving antenna directivity. The results show that disturbances can still appear even if the equipment satisfies the Class A limits recommended by the CISPR
