Abstract
The Design Algorithm (DEAL) for Communications and Electronics Systems, an automated shipboard electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) analysis program, is described. It is an expanded version of the DEsign Electronics ALgorithm (DEEAL) that, in addition to analyzing two-way interactions between electronics systems (radar and EW), now has the capability to analyze interactions between communications and electronics systems. Further, multiple-signal interference (e.g., intermodulation) to either a communications or radar receiver is now included in the algorithm
