Abstract :
This paper proposes a concept of separation and concentration control of particles in droplets for eventual digital microfluidic systems. The concept is confirmed by facilitating electrophoresis of particles within droplets that are driven by electrowetting on dielectric (EWOD) and is aimed to take advantage of the simplicity of digital operation for complex systems.
