At present, water pollution of the ecological economy area in the northwest of Changchun is growing more and more seriously. According to the way , causes and characteristics of the water pollution, five-step ecological approach is proposed. The management technology projects of the primary, secondary, tertiary, quaternary and stage-V system in five-step ecology treatment system are studied separately in this paper, obtaining water quality results table for each level The results show that the five-step ecology approach used in the ecological economy area of the northwest of Changchun City is very feasible.
