Abstract
Results are presented from a computer simulation program that compares a number of methods of processing baseband direction-finding signals such as those from radar, sonar, seismology, or radioastronomy measurements at baseband that are used for real-time applications. It is shown that null steering at baseband amplitude-only control can be successfully applied to improve the accuracy in determining the direction of arrival (DOA) of an unknown source. In the presence of a large number of interfering sources as well as white noise, the direction-finding method that incorporates null steering has proved to be most effective in minimizing the error.<>
