  • Abstract
Geospatial datasets representing our natural environment, such as Digital Terrain Model (DTM), is widely used and applicable for various tasks. Using simultaneously several 3D geospatial dataset requires addressing the issue of data integration. Different factors cause global-systematic discrepancies as well as local-random ones between these datasets. Analysis of the inherent local inconsistencies in the different geospatial datasets -prior to actual data integration -is mandatory. Dividing the datasets into homogeneous separate zones enables to correctly define the spatial relations between them. The implementation of a hierarchical process is introduced, in which global and local geometric discrepancies are monitored, and used for an accurate spatial integration modeling. This mechanism yields the calculation of a novel database that stores the local transformation parameters between the different datasets. The implementations of new interpolation concepts for a precise calculation of the translation and rotation parameters stored in this novel database are introduced.
