Abstract
Maintenance and troubleshooting tips and guidelines for motors and generators are outlined. This information is applicable to any rotating equipment except where the manufacturer is noted for specific details. In particular, it is recommended that commutation adjustment be supervised by someone who understands the theory of DC machine adjustment, is experienced in adjusting such machines, and understands the hazards involved in working with live electrical apparatus.<>
