Abstract
A scheme of fault location using traveling wave theory for electric railway traction system of Jing-Jin dedicated passenger line (JJDPL) in China is presented. Considering the system structure and line style of JJDPL, characters of different types of traveling wave fault location methods are analyzed, and a hybrid scheme is formed. Simulation results of JJDPL prove that the scheme is suitable for transient and permanent faults, and can be used in engineering project.
