Evaluating adaptive signal control using CORSIM

This paper discusses the evaluation of adaptive traffic signal control using TSIS/CORSIM. The paper reviews three adaptive control strategies that have been developed through contracts awarded by the FHWA´s Turner-Fairbank IST (Intelligent Systems and Technology) Division. The paper discusses the framework and evaluation procedures for testing and assessing these advanced control algorithms, before they are deployed in the field.
