Blue-green algae water bloom is one of the most serious water pollution in freshwater. Three kinds of oxidants, such as hydrogen peroxide, potassium permanganate and sodium hypochlorite were investigated on the effect on the growth of Microcystis aerugrinosa. It can be achieved the highest inactivation rate of Microcystis aerugrinosa when the concentration of hydrogen peroxide was 6mg/L, potassium permanganate was 0.2mg/L respectively. When the concentration of sodium hypochlorite were 1.0 mg/L, 1.4 mg/L and 1.8 mg/L, the algae inactivation rates were roughly equal.
