Abstract :
Taking the traditional classroom schooling model as background, a network-based teaching platform that supports the whole education process is presented. The objectives and principles of the system, such as usability, flexibility and security are identified. The analysis and design of the B/S (browser/server) architecture and its functions, such as user management, course management, file management, question and answer management, communication between the instructors and students etc. are discussed. An implementation method of the B/S based application software is introduced. The platform has been applied in teaching practice, and considerable achievements obtained.
