Abstract :
The paper summarizes conclusions following from the research of utilization of wind power plants in the Czech Republic. Situation in the planned and real shares of renewable sources with more detailed specification of the opportunities for development of wind power plants is described specifically. The paper also presents the results of analysis of operational statuses of the most frequently used system of control of wind power plants with asynchronous generators. The analysis also covers transition processes accompanying switching operations of wind power plants including definition of back influences of operation of wind power plants on the power supply system to which the output from wind power plants is supplied. In conclusion, the paper describes a developed mathematic model for predicting the level of production of electric power from wind power plants.
