Abstract
It is of importance to non-invasively image dynamic brain electrical activity from scalp electric measurements. Models of cortical equivalent sources have been developed in the past decade to account for the distributed brain electrical activity. Such cortical equivalent source models provide a means to circumvent the non-uniqueness of the brain inverse problem and to enable non-invasive imaging of brain electric activity over the epicortical surface. This paper reviews the authors´ recent work on cortical source modeling and cortical imaging from scalp EEG measurements
