Abstract :
As a communication interface for handicapped people, an eye-gaze input system has been studied in the authors´ research group. In their previous system, a user´s head must be immobilized in its use; therefore, the usability remained at a low degree. This time, the system is combined with 3-D positioning device so that a user is able to move his/her head freely. This paper describes how the system is improved, and how better it works than the authors´ previous system, according to the quantitative analysis
