Abstract :
This paper presents the novel technology of external RF power supply for small caliber fuze. A storage capacitor of fuze is charged via a detachable inductive link, which of secondary coil would be implanted in fuze, primary coil would be placed on the launcher. The energy stored in the capacitor would power fuze circuits and detonating device. In order to improve both charge current and power transfer efficiency via a low coupling coefficient inductive link, class E power amplifier with the self inductance of the primary coil and compensation of the leakage inductance of secondary coil are proposed. The results of a prototype with experiment are presented and show this technological scheme is feasible.
