Polyacrylate which was solidified in the room temperature was synthesized, and it was applied to potable water advanced treatment after it was coated as a film. The adsorption efficiency of the film to chloroform was evaluated with the SPME - GC/MS technique, and found that the adsorption efficiency was up to 50 percent when it was extracted for 50 mins.lt showed that the room temperature solidified polyacrylate has good adsorption efficiency to chloroform in potable water. Some factors which affect the adsorption efficiency were studied. In this paper, the mathematical model was established and the model predictive data accorded well with the experiment data.
