  • Abstract
    A new recognition and research method is proposed for the improvement and optimization design to numeral meter digital recognition system. The meter digital recognition flow and some pre-processing methods are given firstly, then the recognition features are structured, which mainly include the number of labeled four-connected domain objects of the figure background and label matrix element distribution features. Finally, recognition system simulation model is established and simulated based on model-oriented technique and dynamic simulation software Simulink. The model can be easily understood, repeatedly used and intelligently operated. The simulation recognition rate can be up to 98.6%, which shows that the model and method are effective and practical.
