Abstract
This paper presents a general modeling and an experimental validation of a doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) based wind conversion system (WCS). The wind conversion system has been briefly presented. Then, the d q control of the grid side converter (GSC) has been detailed theoretically. Moreover, the decoupled active and reactive powers control of the DFIG has been presented. The last is carried out by using the rotor side converter (RSC) to control the direct and quadrature components of the DFIG rotor currents. Both GSC and RSC control algorithms are implemented on a DSPACE board plugged in a Dell PC. The performance of the DFIG control is verified by experimental results.
