Abstract :
Boundary methods are briefly discussed with respect to frequency-domain methods for electromagnetic problem solving. A framework connecting various individually developed boundary methods under a simply unifying ´umbrella´ is given. Exclusions to the boundary element method (BEM) are briefly highlighted.<>
